Australasia’s largest mass transit bus operator, Kinetic, has this week launched a campaign giving ‘countless thanks’ to bus drivers for their vital role in keeping communities connected and functioning in recent months.
The campaign recognises bus drivers who have been in the front seat, on the front line, helping people get to work, access essential services and supplies, travel safely to and from school, and return home from international travel.
Kinetic Co-CEO Michael Sewards says the campaign highlights the fact that, particularly during tough times, people rely on bus drivers every single day.
“We are tremendously proud of how our drivers have adapted to an entirely new environment and responded to the task of keeping our services operating for those who rely on them,” he said.
“They have heard countless thank you’s, and they deserve countless more. They are in the front seat, on the front line, delivering essential services. Right at this moment, we can’t thank them enough.”
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Kinetic has continued to deliver important urban, regional, school and airport bus services across Australia and New Zealand.
The company’s famous airport transit brand SkyBus has played an important role transferring international arrivals at Melbourne Airport to city hotels for quarantine.
