The biggest season of the Kinetic Titans Schools League rugby league competition has kicked off with a record 2,200 participants competing over the next 10 weeks.

Fielding 61 girls and 85 boys teams from across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, the Schools League is a key part of the Titans Together community program.

The competition has been a testing ground for up-and-coming stars with some participants now living out their dream playing the NRL and NRLW.

To kick of the Schools League for 2024 Kinetic teamed up with the Titans to give players from Pacific Pines State High a unique ride to the game alongside current Titans NRL and NRLW players.

Martin Hall, Kinetic Executive General Manager for South East Queensland and Tweed, said it is great to see thousands of kids competing each week.

“Working with Titans Together for the past few years it has been awesome to see the growth of the Kinetic Titans Schools League to the point where it is established as one of Australia’s premier school sporting competitions,” he said.

“It is fantastic to see a record number of students participating and we jumped at the chance to give the team from Pacific Pines a chance to travel with the Titans to their game.

“The chance to spend time with State of Origin stars like Jamie Chapman is really unique and something I am sure they will remember fondly as they pursue their own football dreams.”

Over the next 10 weeks more than 300 games will be held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons across venues at Carrara, Robina, and Beenleigh.

Reaching a total of 37 schools, Kinetic Titans Schools League has solidified its position as regional Australia’s premier school competition.

Incorporating two divisions for boys and girls from Year 7 to Opens, the program fosters a safe and positive environment that encourages schools of any ability to participate in rugby league.

Designed to provide pathways for aspiring and capable players, the competition has already been a part of the career development of many NRL players including Jayden Campbell, AJ Brimson and Josh Papali'i along with NRLW players Hailee-Jay Ormond Maunsell, Destiny Brill and Chantay Kiria-Ratu.
