Auckland

Kinetic is the largest provider of bus services in Auckland, operating 650 city buses across the Auckland region from 10 separate depot locations. These buses carry approximately 26.4 million passengers annually.

We are a proud partner of Auckland Transport (AT) providing scheduled urban bus services via a number of long-term contracts. Our fleet comprises single deck and double deck buses, including 56 battery electric buses. In January 2023 we proudly launched Australasia's largest all electric bus depot in Panmure, East Auckland.

In Auckland we employ 920 drivers and approximately 160 support staff. Our operations are known under the NZ Bus and Go Bus operations.

Tāmaki Makaurau, the Māori name for Auckland, means Tāmaki desired by many. This name refers to the abundance of natural resources, strategic vantage points, portage routes, and mahinga kai which first attracted Māori, and then other settlers.
