Michael Sewards Group CEO

A founding Director of Kinetic, Michael commenced his career in banking and has worked extensively in the transit industry. He was a former Director of the Pacific Royal Group, and a founding Director of Heritage Group, which grew into the leading Bus Industry Advisory firm and co-led a range of bus company transactions totalling just over $1b in enterprise value, including the Ventura acquisition of the Grenda Group in 2012.

Annie Mould General Counsel & Company Secretary

Annie recently joined Kinetic after 17 years at Herbert Smith Freehills, where she forged a strong relationship with Kinetic since its inception in 2014 acting on the SkyBus Melbourne acquisition, and the vast majority of its acquisitions and tender processes. Annie has a strong knowledge of the bus and infrastructure industries, through leading acquisitions and sales of bus businesses, advising on Australian and overseas bus transport tenders and large infrastructure investments and transactions.

James Culley Chief Financial Officer

James leads Kinetic’s AU and NZ finance teams and brings 20 years’ finance and deals experience, gained in industry and leading professional services firms across Australia, London and New Zealand. Prior to joining Kinetic, James held senior finance roles in an ASX listed business having previously been a Director in PwC’s Transaction Services team in Australia, focussing on buy-side and sell-side due diligence and IPOs.

Mackayla Hanney Chief Commercial Officer

Mackayla (Mack) headed up Kinetic’s Mergers and Acquisitions team for more than 15 months before moving into the role of Regional GM - New South Wales, Victoria & Tasmania. She is now Kinetic's Chief Commercial Officer spearheading Kinetic's growth across Australasia overseeing M&A, tenders and communications teams. Mack brings commercial acumen and stakeholder relations experience.

Calum Haslop Managing Director New Zealand

Calum recently joined Kinetic following 12 years as Chief Executive Officer at Go Bus, where he not only drove growth and shareholder returns, but was also regularly found behind the wheel getting a hands-on understanding of the issues faced by his team. With over 22 years senior management experience in the tourism, retail and telecommunications sectors, Calum is highly skilled in tender management, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, team development and change management.

Anthony Bereznicki Chief Information Officer

Anthony joined Kinetic in 2023 after successfully leading a number of IT functions across Australasia and internationally. He brings extensive experience in industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation, banking and finance. With a proven track record managing transformational programs, Anthony plays a key role in strengthening Kinetic’s IT systems and capability as we continue on our transformation journey as a business.

Matt Campbell Managing Director Australia

Matt leads the strategic operation and commercial development of Kinetic’s dynamic business portfolio across Australia. He brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of Kinetic both commercially and culturally, having held various pivotal roles within the company over a 10-year period, including most recently as Chief People Officer. Matt is a hands-on, commercially astute people leader who focuses on delivering continuous improvement across Kinetic’s operations.

Kayne Baas Executive General Manager of Electrification

Kayne oversees Kinetic’s Zero Emissions program across Australia and New Zealand, working closely with senior leaders and operational teams to drive the electrification of the company’s facilities and fleet. With over 28 years’ industry experience, including most recently as Kinetic’s procurement lead in New Zealand, Kayne has a successful track record transitioning bus networks to zero emissions and will play a key role advancing Kinetic’s commitment to decarbonisation.

Graham Smith Executive GM – New South Wales, Victoria & Tasmania

Previously in the role of GM - Kinetic Melbourne, Graham leads our business in southern Australia, which includes the region’s largest bus contract - the Melbourne Metropolitan Bus Franchise, plus our award-winning SkyBus business and our growing network across Tasmania.

Sarah Ismail Executive GM – Western Australia, South Australia & Northern Territory

Sarah joined Kinetic with the launch of a dedicated operation in Western Australia, leading our growth in the West and also overseeing operations and service delivery excellence across South Australia and the Northern Territory. Previously employed as a Regional Manager within Greyhound Resources (now Kinetic Resources) and various other roles managing busing logistics contracts in the resources-rich Pilbara region, Sarah brings significant transport, resources and finance sector experience to the team

Martin Hall Executive GM – South East Queensland & Tweed and North Queensland

Martin brings a wealth of transport knowledge and business leadership. Martin has a key focus on operational performance and safety and has established strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry. He also has strong connections within the local business community and government which will support our operations as we deliver further service uplifts in the northern Gold Coast.

Marcia Shield Executive GM – Central Queensland

Marcia oversees our business in Central Queensland, which includes supporting our dedicated mining & resources business operations in key regions across Australia. Marcia joined us from BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) overseeing logistics and previously was with Greyhound Resources before it was acquired by Kinetic. Marcia is an authentic caring leader who is widely respected within the resources sector.

Stephen McKeefry Executive GM (Kinetic urban, NZ)

Stephen has 26 years’ experience in senior management roles in the transport industry and has overall responsibility for urban service delivery in Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. Stephen has demonstrated unwavering commitment to safety, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service during his 8 years with Kinetic. He has led multiple urban contract transitions and played a vital role in the successful roll out of the MOE services across the North Island of New Zealand.

Ben Barlow Executive GM (Go Bus, NZ)

Ben leads our regional operations in New Zealand under the Go Bus brand, working closely with Council partners, NZTA, and suppliers to ensure we deliver high quality and cost-effective services for our customers and clients. As a transport professional with over 20 years’ experience Ben has held senior executive roles in both the private and public sector. Ben’s leadership and strategic approach to the business fosters a culture of growth, continual improvement, and inclusiveness for all stakeholders.
