Moving the Mob

We're putting more First Nations people behind the wheel

Moving the Mob was launched on Gimuy Country (Cairns) in 2023 to encourage greater Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation within Kinetic’s workforce and across the transport industry.

The program offers First Nations people holding a car driver’s licence flexible paid training in a supportive, culturally safe environment to become qualified and confident bus drivers.

Developed in consultation with community and employment organisations, the program has been fully embraced by our teams in Northern Queensland. In June 2024, we kicked off our national roll out of Moving the Mob with a launch event in Melbourne.
