Introducing our Sustainability Strategy

Kinetic acknowledges that we are in a Climate Emergency. We must place First Nations, women and diversity at the heart of our journey forward.

The world is at a crossroads. If we keep going in the same direction, we are headed for climate and ecological breakdown, and deepening inequality. 

We're proud to take a different road, which is why our Sustainability Strategy has a vision for thriving, diverse communities. 

That is why the heroes of our Sustainability Strategy are so bold. 

We know it won’t be easy to transform our fleet and shift to zero emission vehicles by 2035. We know that gender equity is a challenge across our industry. And we know that some might question why a bus company puts so much importance on LGBTQI+ inclusion.

But it is our mission to support the communities where we live and operate to thrive, for current and future generations, and we have an obligation to them.

Our Sustainability Strategy sets out our framework for contributing to sustainable development, and accelerating action to address some of the biggest social, environmental, and economic challenges of our time.

Leading the charge to zero emission vehicles

As part of our mission to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2035 and stop fueling the climate crisis, we plan to electrify our fleet. Experts have given us 10 years to do everything we can to make sure that the earth doesn’t even come close to the 1.5 degree warming scenario, which means shifting away from polluting diesel, towards quieter, cleaner, and climate-safe buses.

Businesses like ours have an important role to play in supporting people to bring their whole selves to work, and to ensure that everyone is safe and respected. To guide and reflect our commitment, we are aiming high and going for gold in the Australian Workplace Equality Index.
