The new Tweed Valley Hospital is set to open on Tuesday 14 May 2024.

From Monday 6 May 2024, to keep the community connected with this important health facility, there will be a number of changes to  local bus services.

Route 600 - Banora Point to Tweed Mall, via Tweed City and The Tweed Hospital

The 600 service will be extended to operate between Kennedy Drive and Banora Central.

Route 601 - Kingscliff to Tweed Heads West via Tweed City, The Tweed Hospital and Coolangatta

The 601 service will operate from Tweed Heads to Tweed Valley Hospital.

Route 605 - Murwillumbah to Tweed City via Tumbulgum and Lochlomond Drive

The 605 service will be extended to Tweed Heads via Powell St and Keith Compton Drive.

Route 609 - Murwillumbah to Kingscliff TAFE

Timetable changes to the 609 service will increase the frequency of services operating to Kingscliff TAFE and Tweed Valley Hospital.

Other key features 

• The revised 600 and 601 services will temporarily divert from Wharf St via Powell Street to service the current hospital.
• From Tuesday 14 May the 600 and 601 services will operate direct along Wharf Street between Tweed Heads and Tweed City
• From Monday 6 May two new bus stops on Cudgen Road at Tweed Valley Hospital will open and be serviced by routes 601 and 603.
• From Monday 6 May, the 601 and 609 service will service Kingscliff Tafe from bus stops on Cudgen Road only. 
• From Monday 6 May. the first 608 trip of the day from Bilambil Heights to Tweed City will be altered to depart 10 minutes earlier ay 06:48am.
